You'd probably have to be on a Biggest-Loser-type program (constant medical supervision, etc) to get that kind of loss, especially if you're approaching your ideal weight. (It's easier for me to lose 20 pounds because I'm at least 100 pounds overweight.)

I keep hearing an ideal rate of four pounds per month (one per week). I don't know how accurate it is, but it's something to think about.

Also keep in mind that additional physical activity might increase your weight; muscle tissue is *heavy*. Your weight may creep upward even if you're losing fat.
