was to give a continuous feed, although from your point about light cones I see that it would become increasingly impossible as distance from earth increased, anyway even a mirror would provide a continuous feed, but the fact is that the only activity that is plausible in terms of photons in the normal sense is reflecting. We can not assume what we would/ would not be able to do if we were moving faster than them.

Also photons are assumed to have zero rest mass, they do not have zero rest mass.

But I see your points, thanks for blowing those holes in the theory :-). I'll start on making it better.
