Physics question by hagar 2006-10-26 20:56:26
Assuming that I have the following two ridiculously powerful resources:
a.) a spacecraft travelling at twice the speed of light
b.) a telescope powerful enough to magnify the view so we can see individual people from space

I plot a course on which light reflected from my particular location on earth would have travelled in the past few months (to account for rotation of earth and movement of the soalr system), that would give me a trajectory. Now I launch the rocket on that trajectory at full speed, and use the telescope on the rocket to catch the photons reflected from earth in the past, continuously sending the feed I catch back to earth.

Again hypothetically assuming that I get video clear enough to see what is happening on earth, will I be able to see the past in rewind?
