.NET remoting and events... by MrTrick 2006-10-26 18:31:36
Is anyone here experienced with .NET remoting, particularly with setting up events so that the server can 'push' them to the clients?

I'm trying to implement a codeproject tutorial that passes a MarshallByRef object as a parameter (from client to server), so that the server can do a callback on it.
I keep getting security serialization errors, which docs show is a known restriction (due to possible exploits) and the only way to allow it would be to turn the security off. (always a good idea...)

My way's probably nowhere near optimal - how do *you* push data from server to client?
