At the end of the workday, just before a holiday weekend, two armed robers enter a bank branch. After a 52-hour stand-off the police storms the bank, and the nine remaining hostages are rescued. A tenth hostage is in a critical condition, and dies few hours after the rescue. A security guard is also dead.
The show is about the lives of the nine survivors after the robery, and each episode they show some of what hapened during these 52 hours.
