<SSLR>JoCo DMV</SSLR> by TheRantingGeek 2006-10-26 08:07:47
<rant>

MrsRantingGeek had to get her vehicle tag renewed for another year, and lucky me had to be the one to drive to Johnson County DMV to get the renewal for her. I wouldn't mind so much except for three things:

  1. JoCo DMV opens at 7:30 AM. Which meant in order for me to head there and be at w*rk on time, we had to leave our apartment by 6:30.
  2. Rain/drizzle in the Kansas City metro, and the roads are wet. Just about the majority of drivers who live in the KC metro can't drive for $!*@ when it comes to bad weather.
  3. There was quite a bit of a line by the time I arrived at the DMV, and had to wait nearly 20 minutes until my number was called. (We have to pull a ticket dependent on why we're there; i.e. new titles/tags, renewals, or refunds). Needless to say by the time I left I was fortunate enough to make it to w*rk on time. Didn't feel like bothering with the freeways due to the heavy traffic, but it was just as bad taking the side streets.
