When nuances are lost mp3 might not be right for U by UnFair 2006-10-26 01:34:17
(sssl!)

mp3 reduces size by leaving out low playing frequencies if annother frequency is louder. When your hearing is impaired at specific frequencies you still hear the other fequencies that are reproduced by lossless media (e.g. vinyl). If the recording is a mp3 and the loudest frequency is lost for you because of his handicap then you will be missing the other frequencies als well because they where cut out to reduce size.

The worse your hearing, the more distinct the loss in mp3 for you. Especially if it is different on both of your ears.
