Aaargh ! Frelling PSU failure on a server.	by manxmania	2006-10-26 00:14:37
I told them so. Dual PSU capable. Hot-swap. But do we have a 2nd PSU? Noooo! That's taking redundancy too far. Stupid bean counters. Dam! The branch is 300kms away and it's an oldish hp G2 Proliant 350 series. No PSU in the country so it's 10 days to wait for a replacement. Oh for fsakes! I've got to drive up RIGHT NOW with my PC and laptop. I need to restore their tapes to a 120GB HDD I'm taking up and shoving in some poor basteeds pc. They'll just have to make do as a workgroup. My PC has a DDS4 drive - I'd rather lug that along than take the streamer out the server into one of the pcs. These SCSI controllers are a pain if you don't know where the driver disk is. (Nice going Bob. What else did you lose?) Oh the pain! 2 big printers and a A1 plotter to be moved off the server and shoved into somebody's cubicle and set up and shared and the proxy must...... hahahahaha-bwhahahahaharunsofflaughingmanically
