Even if you were Orlando Bloom's identical twin, your current schtick is a big turnoff. Nobody wants to be around somebody so negative and down on themselves all the time. The pretty guy will catch a woman's eye, but once she finds out he has "issues," the smart ones move on to the next prospect.
If you keep telling people that you are a certain way, they will believe you.
I'm not saying that you need to be as smooth as James Bond or as slick as a salesman. Personality overcomes looks. It can "bring down" good looks, or shine through someone plainer. It doesn't matter if you look like a Greek god; if you have a toxic personality, you're SCREWED.
Do whatever you need to do to work through this, but DO work through this. Don't wallow or stagnate, or you're sure to be on the business end of many LARTs here.
