The reason is that they are convinced that they like 'bad boys' and 'dangerous guys'. "Nice guys are boring" they think.
Except that those 'bad boys and 'dangerous guys' are going to cheat on them, verbally abuse them, possibly even hit them. But they go back because they enjoy the attention- any attention. They crave the "drama". They don't understand that that isn't a healthy relationship.
Someday, those girls, (and girls they are: not fully developed) will mature and realize that they've been dating jerks. Then, when their eyes are open, they will start looking for a gentleman.
Don't compromise yourself. There is someone out there who will appreciate you for yourself. But if you stop looking, you'll never find that person.
Incidentally, I remembered part way through this post what your sexual orientation is: the situation works the same with the genders reversed. |
