Ugh... Bloody family. by MikeCDN2006-09-25 16:30:02

Should we get jackets for the club? by blitzkregar 2006-09-25 16:57:43

My father cut me off a 18.

It was rough from time to time, but I survived it (a few missed meals never hurt anyone, as long as they wern't missed in a row), and think I am better about managing money because of it.

I did call and convince him to send me money once ONCE (/Johnny Dangerously) and he made me feel so cruddy about it I never called for money again.

My younger sister on the other hand, used to call and ask for money all the time. And she got it every time she asked.

Now I own my own home and am married (only once) and I am moving up in my company.

My sister is struggling at a dead end job, still renting and is working on her second marriage.

My dad has since passed on and can no longer provide support for her.

My mom was never in a position to provide financial support, but continues to try for my sister (I won't ask, cause I know she would give me her last dollar and tell me she had plenty).

I think I got the better end of the deal.
