Ugh... Bloody family. by MikeCDN2006-09-25 16:30:02

Why is that? I can't understand why parents would by shminux2006-09-25 16:43:51
      I don't understand it either by voxwoman 2006-09-25 16:48:42
My parents (and grandfather) were meticulous about being even handed with us. Well, except for the whole dating thing (I had a curfew and he didn't). And probably my parents have given me more cash over the course of my life than my brother. But he's been handling his life and finances way better than I have. (Although, I think they spent considerably more on his education than they did for me - I only went to undergrad, and they put my brother through Yale Law School and one year at Cambridge... but I think I spent an equivalent amount of money purchasing houses during that time)

VoxSpouse's family, OTOH, plays favorites. His older brother inhereted most of the grandparent's stuff (like the plumbing business), and my in-laws defnintely have a favorite grandchild. And his ex's family is even worse.
