1.) 'promoted' friend (who may or may not have been planning the 'promotion' since the day we met) - lasted six months. 2.) promoted acquaintance - lasted about a month and a half. 3.) almost love at first sight, but with a few months gap living on opposite sides of the country between when we met and when we 'got together'. Five an a half years so far... Really, if you can't be good friends, you can't be good SOs, IMO.
