How to Build a decent Wilderness Survival Kit by DesertRat662006-11-19 12:55:59
question LED lights by tesla_koil2006-09-25 12:43:50
I got one with a hand crank as a freebie by Control 2006-09-25 12:54:10
It's pretty ok, fairly bright, with three white LEDs and a hand crank. The leaflet claims that 30secs cranking will give you 15 mins of light, but I haven't tested that yet.
On the other hand, standard batteries last for ages in LED flashlights. My Inova X5 is supposed to give 20 hours of light on a set of batteries, and I'm inclined to believe it, as I'm still on my first set after more than a year now.
