finding one's self being accused of "trolling for $nonFyossAnatomicalReference" while you were honestly just trying to meet someone. People with less than fully developed social skills tend to find themselves at the business end of that charge, sort of negating the possibility of further developing those social skills.

You know the type. In any group large enough, the new guy shows up, someone asks, "What's that guy's story?" and the reply comes, "Oh, he's just here cruising." Guy gets labelled, any chance of finding someone is nullified before it happens, and the guy is left clueless as to why the advice of "just keep plugging away at finding someone" never works, regardless of whatever adjustment or new tactic is tried.

Me? Bitter? Been there? Yes.
