a) From the way I read it in the other story (look for my link under the TLP) they have the right to shut down the border if they feel threatened b) Sacking them will do no good, arming thing expeditiously will be much better. The new workers would probably do the same thing. c) The border guards returned as soon as Labour Canada, (AKA the Government) told them to go back to work and because they (Labour Canada) had determined there was no threat.
