(A) I don't realistically see myself being forced into a situation in which I need to plan an invasion. Should I know how to design a CPU on the off chance I might be forced into having to do so?

(B) There's an extremely small chance of my ever having to speak with someone who routinely plans invasions on the topic of planning an invasion. If I do, I trust myself to be a fast enough learner to be able to pick up the necessary (proper) subset of their terminology and viewpoint.

(C) I'd question the necessity of knowing how to plan an invasion as a prerequisite for understanding why a particular invasion failed, or succeeded. And how does this last point apply to butchering a hog?
