Canadian Border Guards Run Away by VivianC2006-11-19 12:55:59
I wonder if they were... (obvious punchline) by DesertRat662006-09-25 11:00:10
Wow, that's incredibly poor taste. by abaron 2006-09-25 11:08:34
Insults all around eh? I'll leave the country insults be, I'm sure most every one here is aware of my, and other's, feelings towards such disparaging and patently false remarks against the French.

To top it off, you two (VivanC and DesertRat66) would be the first two I'd expect to SUPPORT what the border guards did, that is if you had a news source that reported things fairly.

This, and other times when they have shut down the borders, is in response to the news of a known armed and dangerous criminal (suspect) headed for the border. The border guards are UNARMED, for their own safety, and to make the political statement that they need to be armed they walked off the border, shutting it down.

I'm sure you can understand that response and if you had been in their shoes you would have whole heartedly participated in the action.
