It's not true. My first date I was 18, the date went amazingly well, then she left the country. I date rarely, and when I don't get stood up (I'm not bitter at all) The dates go well, then we don't work out for other reasons. Most of my friends in highschool were like this too, and more then half of them are married now, so they don't seem to be having any problems.
