Well, more inspired by those responses indicating the lack of an ability to answer the question.
I'm 23 years old, and have not yet had a girlfriend. Sometimes I see this as a bad thing -- an error, an incompleteness, an anomaly, a failure, a missed opportunity... whatever label I come up with at the time. On the other hand, for the huge majority of the time, I simply don't care about it. I'm satisfied with my life the way it is. I make a living at a great job, I entertain myself with TV, video games, and friends, and I don't have any huge stresses on me. Maybe this is just my way of "coping," but I sometimes think that getting a girlfriend would just be an unnecessary complication, the purpose of which would be to improve my simple, already happy life.
The most common label I come up with when I think of my no-love situation is "missed opportunity." I'm probably not experiencing what a large part of the human condition is "supposed to be," but I also don't really have the drive to seek it out and experience it. I've had a few crushes, but most of those girls were already taken, and my high-school-shyness prevented me from bringing it up with the others. So I didn't ask them, got over it, and continued on, unaffected.
At this point in my life (a.k.a. post-college), I don't expect to be meeting as many females as frequently as before, especially since most of my time is spent (quite happily) at home. Therefore, I have a smaller chance of coming across that random-chance-meeting love-at-first-date phenomenon. I've made a profile on a few dating sites (free-trial version), but that hasn't led to anything, and was mostly a half-hearted attempt anyways.
I don't really know where I'm going with this (maybe it's just kind of a brain dump). I guess I'm looking for comments, opinions, advice, others' similar stories... not sure.
