Attn farmer Ufies: manger by SnappingTurtle 2006-09-25 10:08:33
This is a question for people who live on or have lived on a farm. Please answer from personal experience, not by googling.

What is a manger? Have you ever used one in your farm? Did you actually call it a manger or did you call it something else?

Why I ask: my boss, who grew up on a farm, says that the non-farming perception of "manger" is inaccurate, that a manger is not simply a "trough", and that in farming communities the Christmas plays use real mangers, or props that look like real mangers, not silly little six inch tall wooden troughs.
