no doubt about that. But in the long run I think the PS3 will beat it. The PS3 will win by a lot in Japan, I think the US might be a close run, while Europe may be a bit more 360s then PS3s. Sony just has some developers (SquareEnix, Konami and a few others) that's too big and attracts a large group of customers that I think they will come out on the top this time too.
I mean, Japan will always favor Sony and Nintendo. The US market doesn't seem too concerned with the price, as a whole. And even though some might think so, Sony aren't idiots, they know what they're doing, just like Nintendo does.
I'm sure the PS3 will do well, and I think they'll come out on the top. But time will tell. I know I'll be very tempted to get a PS3 once a few of their exclusive titles are out, the price is an issue, but I think I'll overcome that. I will, however, buy a Wii first and most likely a 360 before the PS3 as well. |
