I can't afford such high prices anyway, but the real reason is that the focus of my gaming have shifted over the years.

I'm primarily playing computer games and GBA games now. Note that the computer games are FOSS, freeware or games I've had for years and with the exception of NetHack they are not "popular" games by a long shot. I might pickup a DS in the future though I'm not quite sold on it.

I'm slowly moving away from consoles due to lack of interest. This next gen of consoles has so much hype, tripe and non-gaming stuff going on that they fail to impress me.
