Music question: by Tyop2006-09-25 02:38:03
  Speaking professionally by gregg_hughes 2006-09-25 06:11:41
I used to move pianos for a music store near my house. The owner claimed that Clavinova electrics gave the best chance for a young student to continue. It has a touch sensitive keyboard so you learn some technique and the flexibility to make different sounds to fascinate the young.

that being said, I'd go for that with the proviso that too many buttons & lights are distracting, that the student should get an "authentic" sound ASAP, and that, should they show the need, a good acoustic instrument be allowed for in the future.

Here endeth the lesson; thanks be to Igor.
