this was about 20 years ago so I dare say technology has come a little further now, but I remember how much better my teachers 'real' piano used to sound after practicing all week on the electric keyboard. Keyboard was certainly far more convenient in terms of portability, I recall being able to pack the keyboard into the family car when we took off on holidays and practicing wherever the family ended up. Couldn't offer any advice on the costs involved, as even the secondhand keyboard was stretching the budget at the time. Disclaimer: Any claimed previous competence with instruments should not lead you to assume that I have retained any of those skills. I'm afraid that was backed-up to a CD and tossed some time ago :) Cheers, Jim.
