Bush seeks immunity for violating war crimes act by Illiad2006-11-19 12:55:59
hyperbole much? by magixtechnica 2006-09-25 00:49:56
Please understand before reading the rest of my post, that I DON'T LIKE BUSH. Never have. Problem is I dislike most Democrats even more.

The point I'd like to make here, is that this editorial article was written by the author of a book entitled "how to impeach Bush" or something similar, and is a former Democratic congressperson.

I assume we are supposed to just take her word for it that Bush is doing this? No references? No before and after text of the legislation in question?

All politicians lie, but it seems to me that the Democrats are the worst for it. (Remember, I like neither party, AT ALL) I first chose to never vote Democrat because they never told the truth, and told salacious lies when they thought it would benefit them. Not very long afterward I chose to never vote Republican because where Dems lie to gain traction, Repubs lie to impliment bad policy. The lot of em need to get thrown out.

But I am kinda picky when it comes to truth and the whole swallowing thing. My guess is this article is a bit of sallacious hyperbole bearing only scant and coincidental -- if any -- resemblance to the truth.

As I said, I do not like Bush, and would prefer he not be our CIC. But I will NOT have him trounced out on a LIE. It's the truth or nothing. It may be only a personal pet peeve, but I HATE the dishonesty amongs politicians, and the reason I USED to vote Rep over Dem, is because I sensed a little less dishonesty from that camp. I still do, actually, but I'll never vote for either party again, as I am so thoroughly disgusted with the both of them I almost want to defect.
