World Community Grid: Team UserFriendly.Org by Didactylos 2006-11-19 12:55:59
Hello, my happy crunchers! How's the recruiting going?

A new project has launched on World Community Grid. Designed to have a rapid effect on current cancer treatment, Help Defeat Cancer analyses tissue microarrays to study biomarkers and identify new subclasses of cancer and the best treatment strategy for all types of cancer.

Our new target is to reach 500 active members. Remember, an active member is one who returned a result in the last seven days.

The World Community Grid is a grid computing project whose mission "[...] is to create the world's largest public computing grid to tackle projects that benefit humanity." Their current projects are Help Defeat Cancer, FightAIDS@Home and Human Proteome Folding Phase 2.

After you have got the client up and running, please join Team UserFriendly.Org.

Last team we overtook: Marist College Information Technology

This will be a daily post, if there are no objections. Please, come and help out. I really can't think of a better use for my spare CPU cycles, or yours either.
