...I ducked underneath it the way hedgehogs make love.

And then I got the guy I was travelling with to take a photo, which he kinda botched: the strand I nearly ran into came about 2m off the ground but the web + spider itself must've been a good 3m off the ground. Anyway, I suggested to my friend that I'd hold a cigarette or something, anything of recognizable size next to the thing. Which of course he refused, being a "professional" he knew what he was doing, me being the "unprofessional/amateur" already knew that taking a picture with only a clear sky as background doesn't do perspective much justice. Oh well...
