I said non-muslim, not Christian, but.... by Kickstart 2006-09-18 19:10:24
And you are ignoring WWII, Korea and Vietnam, not to mention other conflicts. I'm sure you are familiar with the word 'kamikaze'. The germans had plans for similar attacks, but I don't think any were actually carried out (someone correct me if I am wrong).

Now, I don't know the religious affiliation of Joel Henry Hinrichs III (Oklahoma City bombing), as there are only suspicions that his Pakistani roommate converted him to Islam, so I can't guess if he was a Christian suicide bomber.

Continental Airlines Flight 11 (1962) was a perfect example of a non-muslim, non-religion-motivated suicide bomber. Thomas Doty apparently did it for the life insurance and to avoid prosecution.

But as for someone who was apparently Christian spoke of God, you have to look at the Poe Elementary School (Houston Texas, 1959), where a father used a suicide bomb to get back at the school for refusing to admit his son. He said that he had the 'will of God' in his suitcase.

For something recent, you can also look up the Myyrmanni bombing (2002) in Finland, by a non-muslim Finn. No one knows his motivation, but his bomb was absolutely an attempt to kill as many people as possible inside a crowded shopping centre.
