that it is generally difficult to get zealotry like that to move beyond small group cels. you get fragmentation as soon as one individual sees their power being usurrped, and as such, martial tactics only work on a broad scale when applied consistantly. just as bush is hated by some kristians for not agreeing that the rapture is imminent, he is worshiped by others for doing some truly inane or (a few) sensible things.
