Hey, I need a little letter diplomacy advice by MikeCDN2006-09-18 10:10:05
wrt your vendors by chrisP 2006-09-18 11:19:10
I don't know about your deals with your vendors, but for us, 99% of wholesalers think of their prices as confidential information. We regularely have to prove that we are dealers and have to sign confidentiality agreements to get wholesale prices at all. Any of my employees who gave away those information without my explicit permission would be in big trouble. The same applies to every agreement I've seen where we forward leads to other companies. In those cases, depending on the project, 5% to 30% of sales are paid as a fee and I've yet to see a contract where the exact amount isn't deemed confidential.

And if they really want to help you with your credit line and you could use that help, I'd suggest a "release of covenant" (? ... this is from dict.leo.org), we usually handle it that way (it can be done without the customer knowing, too).

And for the invoice, just include the invoice number, date, due date and amount for "informational purposes", without further comment.
