Who would expect privacy in a highstreet anyway? by Jeff_uk2006-09-18 05:30:40

But where does it stop? by madjo 2006-09-18 06:55:47
Would you mind microphones in those camera-poles, to listen in on your conservations? Because other people also might listen in when you're in a high-street?

I am seriously asking you this.

I don't mind that other people can see me, but I do not like camera's on every corner of the street. Instead of making me feel secure (which is there preferred intention), they are making me feel paranoid.
Why are we being treated like criminals (again)?
That they have to watch each and every step I make to be sure that I don't stray from the 'right' path.

Mind you, I have nothing to hide, at least not that I know of, but I do object against camera surveillance on every streetcorner, and even in my workplace.
(It has a nice little sticker on the frontdoor, with nice friendly letters saying "You're being watched, a safe idea"... NO that is NOT a safe idea! Why do they need to watch me, while I'm at work? What are they afraid of?)

Big brother should back the h4 off!
