For the arithmetic mean remove the highest and lowest value. Maybe give the standard deviation to that arithmetic mean. Additionally, I don't think "Data looks better" is a valid reason. It's either your experiment was poorly performed (e.g. not so identical conditions) or there are other reasons. It should be your responsibility to point those reasons out rather than to beautify the result. Oh, I also forgot to mention to never trust a statistic you didn't forge yourself.
