blew up? No, can't see why something would unless there was a power surge. Which could happen if lightening hit a power line. Just lost power on the feed down a maain street, and at that not all of it. My power feeds off it. Some homes on that street get theirs from another feed and had power. May never know what happened. As an aside I decided to recharge a battery I got hopefully to use with my UPS. It was so low that my inverter wouldn't run to let me use it for my CPAP. So I had to plug into my UPS.
