They did remove some stuff like blocking ads in webpages and such, but at least the ads-blocking can be done by firefox or probably all the other useful browsers themselves.

It still does the blocking programs from accessing the web, with rather well configurable rules and the $programA wants to start $programB stuff. It also includes a very nice monitor telling you which program is connected to where and what ports are being held open by what.

And you can use it as long as you want, you might get some emails telling you how great it would be if you bought it, but so far it didn't complain about being used too long...
