I like that they're keeping the idea that the only reason Bond was ever given a 00-mission in the first place is that he can play cards really well. ;-) (Though it's a poker game now - ironically, I assume, because nobody in the USA knows the rules of baccarat.)
I also like very much that they're playing up the love affair angle, because I suspect most people don't know how Casino Royale ends. ;-) I REALLY hope they keep the last line of the book (feel free to Wikipedia it if you want to know, no spoilers here), since it would cement the new, "hard-edged" Bond they seem to be going for very nicely. |
