Attn: Hieraco RE books by voxwoman2006-11-19 12:55:59
Absolutly, however for organizational purposes by hieraco2006-09-16 07:25:46

(and I know you are out, but you'll see this later-- I should be hard at work in the basement now in any case), but there are some books that are just HUGE (as in three times the height of a normal book), so I wind up sorting by subject and height in a bizarre system that only I know. (I'm NOT a Virgo). I mean, I've got Joseph Campbell books from standard paperback height to 17" tall.

I had my CDs sorted alphabetically by band, but it doesn't stay that way for very long.

I had about 15 shelves of books in my office (before de-clutter) - one giant bookcase, one wall of built-in shelves, and 2 walls of hung shelving, and 3 bookcases in the "library". Plus the 15 or so boxes of books that are in the attic. I'm going to be buying plenty of "Billy" bookcases at Ikea around December, when we move.

Oh, and I forgot... I have a half-height Billy bookcase FULL of sheet music (and probably 4 more boxes in storage from my mother's house).

This is what happens when you are approaching the half-century mark and haven't really thrown anything of any possible value away, ever. (and then collected a lifetime's worth of your parent's stuff, too).

Oh, and by the way, we have 14 hammers in the house now as well (3 household's worth of tools).
