Except she didn't *pull* the end cap off.

Let's just say that this story involves a wood stove, wet wood, a loose chimney connector cap (there had been another stove in the basement at one point, but the hole where it connected to the chimney was plugged with insulation and capped), and a glass full of gasoline. I'll let you figure out the details.
