But that doesn't mean that somebody who believes in gun control is putting themselves in danger for not having one. I cannot speak for the US but I can speak for Australia where we have a very strict gun control system including full gun registration. I am in no more or less danger for being without a gun here. Ultimately, the differences in our countries as far as firearms are concerned is a philosphical one. And for the record... Yes I do like guns and as soon as I get my firearms license I will be aiming to purchase a rifle for my sport (target shooting). But I understand where my government is coming from and I agree with it.
