to make sure people keep buying their parts, not 3rd party parts (cpu/memory/hd/expensioncards etc excluded ;P) but most MB's are custom made for their cases and sometimes have special pinout/in

so, better replace with same part ID (lots of businesses buy broken dell/ibm/compaq stuff to rip out working parts and sell them seperately, try one of those)

ow btw:
even my 7 year old girl can swap a DELL MB, don't worry, DELL has all manuals on how to tear apart your laptop :D (yes including pictures and i'm not talking about the exploding battery pictures ;P)
