Bioware sucks by Kickstart 2006-09-14 20:29:18
So I decide that I wanted to start playing games again...it's been too busy for a while to do so. I went to buy the Infinite Dungeons NWN module, and it asks for a NWN CD key. I put in the only one I can find, which unfortunately is for the copy that's installed on Jen's machine.

So I download the module with that, and it won't play on my system. Add-on modules are tied to the original CD key, so they aren't at all portable. I end up having to repurchase the module for mine and giving Jen the one I downloaded.

I understand the desire to stop software piracy, but this is wrongheaded. I shouldn't have to use a CD key for an add-on that is downloadable. Luckily the module is fairly cheap, but that still sucks.
