I don't have an obsessive knowledge of US legislation, but from what I do see, it seems money talks very loudly in Washington. And if you did try a violent revolt (now or when things "get worse") you would be ground into a bloody pulp by the might of the... well, probably by the police. And if things really did go too far, I'm sure the commander in chief would be quick enough to ignore that little law you have about where the US armed forces may and may not fight. * Not you personally.
