which is dropping referers. It's also possible (and more likely, since you don't mention referer problems elsewhere) that your ISP has a transparent proxy, and someone else on your ISP is getting the image without a referer. Your ISP then caches the 'anti hotlinking' image and serves that up to you when you request the same URL. Try bypassing the cache by refreshing with Ctrl+F5 (in Firefox and IE, not sure about Opera).
