that seems to be the same plan that a fair number of world leaders, advertised as role models, subscribe to.
If you have any contact with smart, bored kids, do what you can to help them with patience and long-term analysis, and finding their proper sub-culture. Schools _won't_ help with any of that. Formally or informally. Just like most cultures lack the wherewithall to get teachers who are good, and comfortable, with math, so schools don't really help with maths.
Of course, that may still doom the sports teams... but to a different kind of doom. |
