What you can do is polypile for candles. Arrange a long line of piles of 3-5 tools (candles appear in the "tools" category, IIRC) and zap a WoPoly over it. Oh, and it doesn't have to be wax candles, tallow candles work just the same, and cursed/blessed status is irrelevant as well. -- Tars, killed by touching a cockatrice corpse with his bare hands.
