At least, not for anyone human. I read the post the same way Ravenlock did, as indicating that the warning and threat were valid. However, the kneejerk persecution was not. McCarthy was simultaneously right and wrong, and which one applies depends on the specific topic: his warnings, or his methods. And yes, I think Bush is following a very similar path.
