understood, and why I say people sound like loons when they start talking about American women being forced to wear burkhas, etc.

Yes, eventually it seems likely that the U.S. might suffer a terrorist attack involving a nuclear weapon. Obviously everyone hopes this never occurs, but it's well within the realm of foreseeable possibility.

The complete reversal of the politics of the American people to the point of Islamic theocracy, however, is not well within the realm of foreseeable possibility. There's no Muslim army waiting to invade us, no organized government or governments challenging our existence as a nation, and there isn't (yet...) a global political atmosphere that would let something like that happen without helping us fend off these supposed attackers.

We're in much greater and more immediate threat of leaning towards a Christian theocracy, and if we should be scared of a theocratic future in our country, it's that one.
