who said anything about the media? by magixtechnica 2006-09-14 09:31:57
I meet Muslims every day at work, even on the street. The night after the Madrid bombings, a group of 4 college student came into my store wearing matching "Islamic Youth" t-shirts, wanting to get a project done, and by all accounts were exhuberant. They may have only been exuberant because some major project was finally finished, but seems to me if they CARED about terrorists hijacking their religion they would have been somewhat subdued after the Madrid bombing, at least.

And besides, WHY focus on mainstream media when there is plenty of Indie media, WHERE THIS VOICE IS ALSO NOT HEARD. Usenet? Nope, not there either. Discussion boards? Radio? Cable? PUBLIC ACCESS TV???

C'mon, just because CBS has no interest in airing a Muslim denunciation of Islamic terror doesn't mean that the community could not make their voices heard if they wanted to.
