There is NOTHNG unusual in the Harry Potter books magically speaking. There are hundreds of children's book with similar themes. Arguing for a ban on the Potter books just shows how pig ignorant some parents really are about what their children have access to. Having gone through my Dad's sci-fi collection starting at age 10 there are few concepts I would even consider restricting much less banning.
