According to this tasty bit of information, consumers (that means us :P) will be able to download mp3s for free, but there will be some lovely advertisements to listen to before you are able to download. When an mp3 is downloaded, the music companies will recieve royalties through these advertisements. Too bad they won't be up and running until December. Most of the music catalog is coming from EMI. That means NO Neil Diamond!!! :(
